Biography: Catherine Hidalgo

Born and grew up in Trinidad and Tobago. Left in my late twenties for the wild blue yonder. Have triumphed over my abusive childhood and suicidal depressive years. Worked for multinationals and international organizations. The last job involved travelling to Asian and African countries, organizing workshops and scientific conferences with local and international scientists and donors, and overseeing their projects. I love seeing what's out there and learning stuff. So I travelled quite a bit - that started in Trinidad - from there I visited China, Syria, Egypt etc. My latest place of abode is Geneva, Switzerland which is an excellent travel hub. I came here from New York.I have always wondered why I ended up here and why, despite numerous tries I have never been able to leave for good, until now. It is because I had so much to learn about myself and the Swiss and their culture presented me with a perfect mirror image of what I needed to change and character traits I needed to accept. Self awareness and growth is a fabulous thing to live. It's painful but what an adventure! Now I write for Ezinearticles and others. I blog and I am becoming a successful entrepreneur. It feels so good to be my own boss. My one rule is "be authentic". I have always wanted to be me and now it's all coming together. Good stuff!
