Biography: Lauren Ashley

I was born in a Buick Century, stopped on the shoulder of the freeway between my home and the hospital. Perhaps it was a bump in the road. Perhaps I just couldn't wait. My memories are whelmed and beautified by family, and it is in those memories where I feel most at home. If I were to lay down a rough-draft primary intent right now, it would be to unearth and nourish, for myself and those around me, that individual sense of home that inspires our best selves. Most of all, I love to learn and to experience the unique. While I strive for balance in my own life, I appreciate the asymmetry in everything around me. I live in beautiful Sonoma County, California, with my partner and Mr. Figgs the cat. And I edit educational books from the comfort of my own home.
