Heiko has been a creative entrepreneur all his life. Starting during his last years of German Grammar School, where he spent more time on selling computers than actually in school.
Directly afterwards, he has founded and grown several companies in different industries such as Computer Retail, Wholesales, Publishing, Information Technology, Internet and Print/Media over the course of six years. During the end of this phase, he got to know and started working with his business and personal mentors: Dan Pena and the former head of corporate strategy of German Siemens AG, Prof. Dr. Michael Mirow, with whom he started up and ran the German office of the Mergers & Acquisitions Boutique Firm 'The Guthrie Group' in Frankfurt, Germany.
After five years at the helm, in summer 2005, as principal of the German office, Heiko stepped down from his position to work only on selected projects on his own and with a small team in the areas of capital raising, corporate growth and strategy, crisis management and business development.
Heiko has published countless articles, among other newspapers, magazines and online publications regularly for the German Manager Magazin (1998-2001), and together with co-authors published a book on the solution of succession problems in family-owned companies.
He continues to work on selected development, capital raising and investment projects around the globe and is now also concentrating on the further development of his writings. His latest business endeavors have been most inspired by the achievements, life history, business models and meetings with legendary Samuel Belzberg, Guy Wyser-Pratte and Asher Edelman.
His spiritual life has been deeply influenced by the writings of Paulo Coelho, Deepak Chopra, Paramahansa Yogananda, Pila of Hawaii and the "Course of Miracles" - to all of which he feels deeply bound and grateful as well as to some of his greatest teachers: Mary Lyn Matthews and Henry Krotoschin.
Upon Deepak's invitation, Heiko joined Deepak Chopra's Visionaries Circle in 2007 and he believes and actively engages in "helping the ones who cannot help themselves" through various activities, board seats and organizations.
Heiko is married to Brendaliz and they live together with their beautiful newfoundland dog Emma; he enjoys Basketball, Running, Yoga, Deep tissue massages and the life at the water or in the mountains.
The motto of his life: "Everything is possible - just do it."
