Cindi Marshall Oakey, Life & Style Expert for Aware Consulting keeps an eye on trends: how healthy lifestyle, fashion, interior design, and sustainability affects our culture. Currently, Cindi is enrolled in the Institute for Integrative Nutrition to enhance insight into living a better, healthy life for her upcoming book, The Marshall Plan: Eat, Drink & be Merry - The smart guide to staying slim and having a good time. Through Aware Consulting she offers coaching programs creating healthy lifestyle choices for Food, Fitness, Fashion and Fun! Cindi also collaborates with David Oakey Designs, a textile design team leading global efforts in sustainable or “smart design” and biomimicry. She helps correlate fashion trends with interior design. With clients like InterfaceFlor, Nike and Dupont to name a few, David Oakey Designs has been featured in Fast Company, Interior Design Magazine, New York Times Science, Green Futures Magazine, and I.D. Magazine. Cindi’s vision and research influenced the launch of FLOR, residential carpet tile and the hip hotel initiative for a global textile manufacturer, InterfaceFLOR where she developed sales and marketing strategy for the hospitality team after a successful tenure in sales in the interior design industry where she earned a reputation as a powerful producer whose integrity, sense of urgency, and creative persistence consistently resulted in high performance outcomes. Cindi’s passion for trend watching began as a menswear buyer for a Chicago based retailer. She earned a Bachelor’s degree in Communication from Northwestern University, a Master’s degree in Business Communication from DePaul University, and currently resides in Atlanta, GA.
