Over the past few years I've been amazed at how little coverage the melting of the polar ice caps is getting in mainstream media. Maybe this trip to the North Pole will spark some attention. Personally, I don't think much will change in our fight against global warming until we develop alternatives to fossil fuels that are economically feasible to the average consumer. I hope that this trek to the pole will ignite a sense of urgency in the scientific community to develop alternative energies, while at the same time convincing industry that a huge appetite exists in the marketplace for ECONOMICAL enviro products. I think most people want to do the right thing. Good luck on this trip. I hope you break us out of our systemic apathy.
