Biography: Tori Roy

Meisner trained actress, Tori has played lead in several stage plays including Eric Bogosian’s Sex Drugs Rock & Roll, Caroline Kava’s The Early Girl, It had to be You by Renee Taylor and Joseph Bologna, as well as the stage production of Agnes of God. Currently a troupe member at the Hayworth Theater in Los Angeles. Her film Extraordinary Barry opened in select movie theaters in Los Angeles in April of 2008. Tori came into acting - by way of Radio Broadcasting. Arrived here a while back from across the Pond (England) - still carries the native British accent around with her. Speaks fluent Hindi - and trained in Classical Indian Music & Dance. Acting was not her first choice of profession & Tori fell into it quite by accident. No stranger to acting however, Tori has it in her blood. Her Great Aunt was Indian screen actress Suprova Mukerjee whose work is seen in Jean Renoir's film “The River” (1951) and a number of Indian Language films such as “Agni Pariksha” (1954) by ‘Agradoot’ among others. Tori is is now a screenwriter with a feature-length script re-named “Choosing Sides" (apparently the earlier title was already taken by Sidney Sheldon).  http://toriroy.com/
