Biography: Shaun Proulx

In 2000 Shaun left a successful career in finance to pursue his creative dreams.  He currently hosts The Shaun Proulx Show weekday afternoons on 103.9 PROUD FM in Toronto, Canada, the world's first commercial gay and lesbian radio station.  He's a columnist with Xtra!, contributes regularly to Canada's national newspaper, The Globe & Mail, and recently won several awards for his first documentary, DecAIDS - Anything Is Possible, chronicling the putting-together of the 20th anniversary of Fashion Cares, Canada's largest one-day HIV/AIDS fundraiser.

His dominant intention is joy, followed by using the opportunity he has as only one of a few out gay people in the world to have TV-radio-web platforms to bring authenticity, laughter, inspiration, information and entertainment to a wide global audience.  His blog, H*I*M*B*O! (www.shaunproulx.ca/himbo/) has been lauded as 'uproariously funny' in Toronto media, and it's there you can find behind-the-scenes scoop from his show, as well as his chronicling the folly of celebrity culture and his incurable addiction to The Young & The Restless.

Watch for a groovy new web project to be unveiled soon! xS
