Biography: Richard Flyer

Richard Flyer is the founder of the Conscious Community Network (CCN), www.itstimereno.org He is a business owner of Northern Nevada Hyperbarics in Reno, NV. CCN has spent that last four years building a successful model that integrates spiritual awakening with social renewal at the local community level. CCN envisions a sustainable community based economy and culture by committing to a conscious and cooperative way of life; through living the universal virtues of love, integrity, courage, service, and respect; and made possible by demonstrating how the power of the Spirit can change our lives and community. In part inspired by the Sri Lankan based Sarvodaya Shramadana movement and the 50 year work of Dr. A.T. Ariyaratne. See Dr. Ari's IntentBlog post. CCN has developed a variety of efforts for bringing the total community together on a regular basis. One of its efforts, the Neighbor Day campaign, has spread to other parts of the world in its second year 2007 and by 2008 they hope to evolve into a global movement for love and service to neighbor.
