I have worked the same job for over 10 years, but decided to make a change several years ago. I started working on my associates degree which I obtained followed by my bachelors degree in psychology. After graduating, I decided to challenge myself and enter into a masters program. Currently, I am going into my second year of the program and I love it. At first I had many doubts about whether I was smart enough to complete what I started, but I have found out that through hard work and believing in yourself anything is possible. The major part of this story is that for many years I was addicted to drugs which lead to a prison sentence. Soon after my release, I decided that I am willing to speak to other women who have gone through the same experiences I have. I would like to be a light of hope for anyone who thinks they can not improve their situation. But I needed the tools to do so which begun my career as a student.
