Lost in a depressionary funk back in '95, I sent for a book, "Psycho Pictography" by Vernon Howard. It taught me all about self sabotage and ended the depression. About 6 months later, a friend handed me a water damaged hardcover copy of "The Seven Spiritual Laws of Success" by Deepak Chopra. This book, read several times to self and others has been transformative. I have since believed the book should be mandatory reading for every soul before reaching the age of legal majority and no one should be allowed to legally marry before reading this book so they can properly discharge their responsibilities to their offspring and the rest of global society. "Train up a child in the way he should go and when he is old, he will not depart from it." What would all our lives have been if we had been taught the 7 laws as children?
The Law of Detachment has reduced every anxiety in my life to a mere observation. How do I put a value on that one thing? I am forever indebted to Deepak and the friend who gave me the book, therefore, I have no greater intent than to second Deepak's intent into the forseeable future. All other intentions are secondary.
