Biography: Nancy Davis

Born: 1958, youngest of 3 girls. About the age of 10, life lessons tested me beyond my years. 2nd marriage of 12yrs, I've survived my children's adolescence and caretaking of both parents and in-laws. Witnessing disease, numerous deaths, I'm still certain that my purpose has yet to come. Although my focus has always been my children. They are now, 22 & 21yrs., and are showing their successes every day, I'm free to fulfill my passions, or so I thought. Now, as empty-nesters, we sit in this big house. Empty. Last Fall, when we thought we would finally "begin" our lives once more, my husband was told at 58yr. he has MS. We dealt with our emotions and the physical/emotional pain of no longer having our parents to turn to, or even "family" in general. We found out just how alone we were. His 34yr daughter, never calls, never visits. She was 19yr when we met, 3 mths later she was pregnant. I'm the wicked woman her father married. Last week, my engineer husband was told he'd be laid off. Life lessons they are. I've never been one for greed or excess. Since I was 13yr., I always wanted to write. I always thought about the people of this world. Why things have happened. As a strong-willed humanitarian, I will continue to care. I'll donate food or my time to help whoever needs it. With faith and hope, free will and intention, there will be progression every day. No one can take that away. Our hearts are good. I do believe, our hearts are good.
