When I went on pilgrimage I kept on encountering birds- waking to birds singing in the morning even though that particular hotel room didn't have any windows, a bird on my hotel window sill singing (I was so spooked at that point that I took a video at it) and then the birds that would swoop across the Kabba. I wondered if I was just in a higher state of awareness and somehow better in tune with nature.  See more
