Biography: Marcia Hewitt

I'm an anthropology student at UWA and a mother of three amazing adult children, one of whom is working with Scitech using puppets to teach science. My husband and I are urban farmers . We have a business called Garden Angel, and we have gardened in hundreds of gardens in Perth. We home schooled our children for some of their primary years and sent them to alternative free schools. They are all now university graduates in the sciences. I also teach Spanish on Tuesday nights. My children are Gabriel Govinda, Saskia Marina and Samuel. My husband is Peter Hewitt, and he is an investigator at ASIC. We meet regularly with Derek D'Cruz for meditation and a meal in Perth. Gabriel is a landscape artist in Melbourne, specialising in water wise gardens. We have a Siamese cat named Beowolf and a Burmese cat named Zara Brown.
