Biography: Lari~* P.

  ~Hmm.. I am a self taught, independent artist whose primary expression is Dance. A Soloist by nature, my partner is Fire. I love harnessing its destructive, volatile nature to ignite creative, smoldering performances... But there is more to it than the "show" for me...    I currently work alongside several talented artists in circus troupes and movement groups - dancing, acting, singing, stilt walking, creating costumes and masks, and facilitating workshops. I create most of my own characters, costumes and concepts ~ My Dream is to develop workshops and performances where others can experience the cathartic shift that happens when expressing through this medium. A place where all can feel free to explore, create and move in a safe, supportive and encouraging environment.    My original works have been staged in cages, festivals, clubs, parades and documentaries across Canada and Internationally. Drawing upon my instinct to emote physically, I embrace the challenge to manipulate my body to express whatever is required for the show.     When asked what Dance means to me in an HBB interview: I reply:    "Freedom. Allowing Spirit to speak it's own language.  Our bodies communicate so much that cannot be expressed in words."    I kind of live by that Motto. I have been involved in physical expression all my life. I hope to make a Living at it one day...
