Up in the Pacific Northwest, where I live, earthy people have been building earth centered structures, cob/strawbale/cement, with pole infrastructure, and the housing dept. approves these structures.
With all the attention on Obama's green construction, there should be a way to get attention paid to this very worthy subject.
Keep speaking out, you never know who will find you with help. All the best to you, Jas/LisaSee more
Tim DeelThank you Jasmina, I still got to remember to check comments on my intents. I used to live in SeattlThank you Jasmina, I still got to remember to check comments on my intents. I used to live in Seattle and travel the northwest extensively and it's a beautiful place, I miss the people and the food. We use a machine small enough to be pulled behind a pickup to make our adobes where I live there is a lot of clay in our soil, so all we need to add is lime. The blocks come out cured and ready to use, we should start building on our projects in August. I live near Flagstaff AZ a remote area. I really appreciate your comments and sorry I didn't get back right away. See more

Native American thats unreal I was just telling my wife, "No one in our town gives credit to our past history". Our town was named after a Native American. Our town is called Watseka, and our County is called Iroquois County. My Grannie Walker was once a varval. She was part native american.
My building once was called the Iroquois Hotel, built in 1895 a 2 story historic building. Sad to say it's ran down really bad.
I got your comments about being suprised by volunteers, plenty of them! Not here in a rural town south of Chicago 85 miles. Not one so far has came to help our family. Our building is unsafe for our grandchild who's only 20 months old. I can't find one soul who cares.
I'm grateful for your concern, and comment on my intent tonight.
