Biography: Gwendolyn Gleason

Founder  and CEO of Gwendolyn Gleason Couture a pioneering bridal business that has developed a collection of "Eco-Chic" Couture wedding gowns made in organic fabrics. My collection embraces the most elegant and earth friendly fabrics available on the Planet.  Organic cottons, Linens and "peace silk" (non-violent silk) creates a fabric with the highest frequency(good energy) on earth, while it allows the moth to live! My fabrics are developed for me coming from Europe, India and the USA. Recently, I traveled by myself for the first time to India to create "Peace Silk" that would be suitable for my designs.  Gwendolyn is a pioneer in this area of eco-chic Couture, having launched the concept and first designs in the Fall of 2007. Signature details as seen in the best ateliers take this Eco-"green"concept to another level of sophistication.......... I also embrace fare trade and empower women in the samplemaking and developement of my gowns. What is most special and unique about Gwendolyn Gleason Couture is that, I encourage the bride to co-create a custom gown that has their signature style. This embraces and encorporates their wedding theme and look. I just participated in the first Eco-chic bridal event on May 2nd with an all green theme in Stantford CT. created by Ctgreenscene & The greenbrideguide. The Dresses made a fabulous impact and showed that "Green" gowns can be just as beautiful as the big designer brands.
