Interested in nutrition and healthy eating for over 20 years, I joined www.SustainableTable.org & www.TheMeatrix.com as the marketing manager in 2007 to promote local sustainable food. Before working at Sustainable Table, I worked as a Holistic Health Counselor and was trained at the Institute for Integrative Nutrition. As a health counselor, I educated people (and answered questions for friends and family, and still do!) to balance their lives through nutrition and lifestyle choices. Even then, I shared with clients that eating sustainable food is a big part of living a happy, healthy life. Personally, in addition to loving to eat healthy and eating vegetarian, I’m very concerned about the chemicals in our food and the connection to disease. Prior to health counseling, I worked as a project manager in California and New York and I’m very happy to combine my project management background with my love of healthy food to help people adopt a more sustainable outlook for themselves and their community. I grew up in California and spent summers in Oregon eating vegetables out of my Grandparent’s garden - those fresh vegetables created some picky taste buds! Cooking for family and friends is a passion, especially after a trip to the Park Slope Food Coop in Brooklyn.
