I have been pondering this for quite some time now. Most of us have heard of the Law of Attraction. The secret has made this almost a household name. I don't think the masses still really understand or believe in it, but that is another subject altogether.
I do believe that our thoughts create our reality, that the world we see is an outpicturing of our innermost thoughts. So, in that respect, the LOA should be straightforward, right? But wait a minute.
Most of our thoughts, the ones that really run us, are the ones under the surface, the unconscious ones. What we see is just the tip of the iceberg, so to speak. So what we are focusing on in our daily affirmations and visualizations (the conscious ones) are getting mixed in to the ones in our subconscious mind.
A Course In Miracles teaches us that the Holy Spirit, who sees everything, naturally would know much better than we do as to what direction we should go in our lives. So shouldn't we just leave it up to him(or her)?
In other words, when we physically manifest something that we want, is it possible that we are actually going in the wrong direction? Unless we are absolutely sure that it is in line with our purpose on earth?
Now, really there is no "wrong" or "right", as everything whether positive or negative teaches us to some degree. But if we are trying to advance in consciousness, and connect with our true selves, then shouldn't we simply allow that "self", the highest part of us, to flow into our lives and not interfere?
Instead of manifesting with the science of the Law of Attraction, are we of better service to simply be who we are?
I wonder is there a way to use both of these techniques at the same time? For example, there is a big difference between meditation and manifestation. In meditation we are silent, we shut off our thoughts. When we are manifesting we are focusing our thoughts on what we want.
I strongly encourage some commenting on this, I would love to hear some feedback, opinions and some of your experiences.
Peace,
Jamie
