Brigit ChristopherMilord Arun,
I hear you saying that you feel Obama's attention in Pakistan is too narrow and that yMilord Arun,
I hear you saying that you feel Obama's attention in Pakistan is too narrow and that you feel he's neglecting the interests and/or welfare of your brothers and sisters in Pakistan.
I have never met Obama, but for what it's worth, I voted for him not merely because he was a Democrat, but because to me he gave off the energy of both a clear-thinking and savvy politician, and a loving and even balanced heart. I cannot even begin to imagine what it must be like to be in the most politically important and "big" position in the world--the so-called "CEO of the world" (yuck) and I may not be certain of whether I support all of his positions regarding the war in, say, Afghanistan (I don't know enough to judge), but I am encouraged by his immediate move once in office to begin the process of closing Guantanamo and so far he hasn't struck me as having abandoned the ideals of Justice and/or Kindness in the way he in his position and the pressures that go along with it deems it best to express it nationally and globally. I can tell you have a big heart and that whatever the plight of the Pakistani Indians currently is (I don't know anything about this yet, I'm sorry) I wish to encourage you not to give up all hope regarding Obama and maybe you might even consider writing to him personally. The White House post address is easily findable online and I'm sure that he has ways of finding out what was written to him even if he can't read each letter himself. And I surmise that perhaps your letter might be unique enough in its interests regarding what is currently known by those outside of India and/or Pakistan, that yours might have a better chance than some of reaching him personally. I am here for you, but I wish to encourage you and offer you hope, rather than to provide anything that would affirm your disappointment and/or sadness. Blessings, and take care. I'm just a private message away if you need to share.
Love,
BrigitSee more
